About me

What YouTube taught me about websites.

I build single-page sites for small businesses with no templates.

I also run Daily History, a YouTube channel with more than 47,000 subscribers. It has taught me more about landing pages than any tutorial has. On a Short you get about two seconds before someone swipes away, so every frame counts. A landing page works in a similar way. You need to capture the viewer's attention quickly before losing the lead.

  • Built from scratch No page builders or generic templates.
  • Phones first Most of your visitors will show up on a phone. My pages are designed with that in mind.
  • Accessible by default Keyboard navigation, real color contrast, and markup a screen reader can follow.

Portfolio

One example project.

Here's a complete landing page, built to work just as well on a phone as it does on a desktop.

The USA Roofing landing page: a full-width photo of a roofer at work behind the headline 'Storms don't wait. Neither do we.', with a free-estimate button and a phone number.

Services

One page, one price.

You get a landing page built from scratch and launched on your domain. You'll have the option to keep me onboard. Either way, the code is yours.

Step two · optional, after launch

Care plan

$50 per month

Things break after launch, and usually quietly. This is the part that catches them before your customers do.

  • Unlimited small updates, turned around within 48 hours
  • Uptime monitoring, so if the site goes down I find out before you do
  • Monthly form testing, so a broken form never costs you leads
  • Domain and SSL expiry tracked, with plenty of warning before renewals
  • Regular broken link checks
  • An annual content review, flagging anything that's gone stale
  • Off-site backups of every version of the site
  • Priority response ahead of clients without a plan

Month to month. Cancel whenever you like.

Domain registration and hosting are billed to you directly and usually run under $20 a year. I'll set both up, and I never mark them up. Need more than a single page? Tell me what you have in mind and I'll quote it.

A rough idea is enough to start. Tell me what your business does and what you want the page to achieve and I'll come back with a plan and a firm price.
